Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue pet.

No Hairs Ark is a small group of dedicated animal welfare advocates that rescue, rehabilitate, care for and rehome pets, specifically the Chinese Crested dog breed, in need. We do not receive any funding or financial support, other than the occasional very kind donation from one of our wonderful supporters. The adoption fee charged is purely to help cover basic vet costs such as desexing, vaccination and micro-chipping. All additional vet costs, food, pee pads, bedding, pens, etc are paid for by us, and no money is made from the re-homing of our animals.

The purpose of this questionnaire is to provide some background information about yourself and your household, to ensure the most suitable homes are found for all animals.

Tell us what is MOST desirable in a dog/pup for you?
Tell us what is LEAST desirable in a dog/pup for you?
Please tell a bit about your last dog...
If yes, tell us a bit about them... If no, what has drawn you to these unique dogs?
While on the whole, the breed is happy to spend time outdoor, the hairless variety need protection from the elements and sometimes require human intervention to ensure they do not sun bake too much.
Keep in mind that while the breed is in the toy group, a perfect lap dog and companion, some dogs in this breed are active and excel at many dog sports like agility, nose work or rally-o!
If yes, tell us about them. Are they desexed and up to date with vaccinations and parasite prevention? Do they play nice with other dogs and people?
We known these memories can be hard to dredge up, but it is best to let us know.
Your parents or other special humans? Are there little humans in the house? What are their ages. etc?
Keep in mind that Chinese Crested dogs are LOW allergen dogs. People who are allergic to animals are commonly allergic to the fur, dander and saliva of a dog - the Chinese Crested still have two of these three things. There is no such thing as a TRULY HYPOALLERGENIC dog.
Keep in mind that some Chinese Crested dogs are adept climbers, some can dig - if they are not happy in their environment, they will take it upon themselves to go wandering.
